Hawthorne

Hawthorne Tamaskan became involved in the breed in 2009, when our first female came home. 2012 was our first litter. We are located in south central Pennsylvania. We have been in the breed for 15 years. We started using Puppy Culture in 2016, and have used it on every litter since. We sat on the TDR Board for a time, spearheaded rewriting the breed standard, led the effort to the Tamaskan being a recognized breed with the American Rare Breed Association, and also sat on the Board for the breed club (now defunct USTDC and NTCA). Here we helped organize national specialties held in Madison, WI. We enjoy doing recreational pulling sports with our dogs, including canicross, Skijor and mushing. Scentwork is also favorite activity.
